Function and Purpose: The wave drifting buoy is a compact buoy measurement system that utilizes the principle of gravitational acceleration to measure waves. It is capable of real-time acquisition of wave height, wave period, wave direction, one-dimensional energy density spectrum, two-dimensional directional spectrum, and spectral characteristic parameters of wind waves and swell. It can also derive wind speed, wind direction, and other data through inversion of the wave spectrum.
